Established in 2012, the organization honors the “good neighbors” that have called the Near East side their home through outdoor spaces that restore the health and wellness of neighbors through volunteer service. At the Legacy Garden, work is underway to restore raised beds, beautify the site with interactive and creative spaces, and cultivate a central place for neighbors to gather, share, and grow. Improvements made are intended to be inclusive and celebratory for the local community.
