ARTFUL INTERPRETIVE SIGNAGE
A community-minded strategy to educate the neighbors on the unique agriculture practices at Franklinton Farms plots.
2022 Grant Recipient
About the Project
To provide learning opportunities, promote local heritage, and educate the community about sustainable practices, Franklinton Farms will be installing 32 new interpretive signs across 8 gardens in the community. These efforts help to sustain and grow their mission to nourish neighborhood wellbeing and connection through farming, gardening, and education. Interpretive signage is a wayfinding tool used to guide a passerby through the story of a specific site. The signs at the Franklinton Farms site will connect residents with activities at a particular garden, share more about seasonal changes, and further connect individuals with the natural environment.
