Franklinton Cycle Works plans to transform the parking lot in front of the shop into a pocket-park that is arranged to support varied community-based cycling needs. The transformation will create a beautiful, community-centric and welcoming, ecologically-forward, low maintenance space that provides refuge from the heat and noise of W. Broad St.. The design includes a seasonally installed shade sail to buffer patrons and visitors and raised planter boxes with benches that define the parking lot as a place for pedestrians-cyclists.
