About the Project

Since 2015, The Artmobile has brought the arts to the community and local youth. Their proposal, Creating Safety Through Art History, advances this idea, revives and celebrates the work of prolific Columbus artist Aminah Robinson, and collaborates with the community around public safety and civic pride. The proposal looks to either build or restore 10 statues throughout the Near East Side creating a trail of new public art pieces and messaging that elevates local culture, history, and resiliency for current and future generations.
